Hi, I’m Kate!

I am a full-time visual artist, author, and playwright whose work blends curiosity, storytelling, and a love for everyday beauty. As a child, I filled sketchbooks with girls in flowing dresses and dogs disguised as humans. Over the years, my paintings and designs have reached audiences worldwide, appearing in retailers such as Target, Pier One, and World Market, as well as on television and in major motion pictures including Transparent, Medium, Glee, and Twenty-One Jump Street.

For the past six years, I’ve been immersed in my daily painting practice, creating one small gouache painting every day. This discipline has sharpened my style and inspired me to share my passion for gouache through books, workshops, and online courses. I graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in Painting and Drawing, and I now live and work in Salt Lake City, Utah, where I continue to paint, teach, and daydream daily.
